Admissions Process

Support for your teen shouldn’t feel overwhelming — we help make the next step clear.

What to Expect During the Admissions Process

Whether your teen needs structured day treatment or after-school support, we’ll help you find the right level of care.

Our admissions process is designed to feel clear, supportive, and easy to navigate for parents. If you’re considering treatment for your teen, here’s what you can expect.

We know parents often have a lot of practical questions right away: how treatment fits around school, what happens if your teen isn’t thrilled about going, and how quickly you can get started.

When you reach out, we’ll talk through your concerns, explain how our programs work, and help you understand next steps so you can make a decision with more clarity and less stress.

A Clear Path to Care

  1. Call or reach out online.
  2. Discuss your concerns, our treatment options, and verify your insurance.
  3. Schedule your teen’s assessment.
  4. Treatment begins.

What Happens When You Call Admissions

Your first call is a simple conversation focused on your teen. We’ll ask a few questions, answer yours, and help you understand what a realistic next step could look like.

We’ll talk through a few things, including:

  • What you’ve been noticing at home, at school, or socially, and how long it’s been going on
  • Any mental health history, diagnoses, or past counseling/therapy
  • Any substance use concerns, even if you’re unsure how serious they are
  • Our different levels of care
  • How quickly your teen may need support and what getting started typically looks like
  • What to expect from the assessment and intake process
  • Insurance, costs, and any questions you want to ask along the way

Admissions FAQs

What ages do you serve?

We primarily work with teens ages 12–17. In some cases, we may consider treatment outside of the 12-17 age range based on individual needs and the program manager’s approval.

How do I get started with admissions?

Start by calling or submitting a form on our website. Our admissions team will listen to your concerns, ask a few questions about your teen, and help determine next steps.

Do I need a referral for my teen to enroll?

No referral is required. Families can reach out directly to begin the admissions process.

How fast can someone start treatment?

Most people can start treatment within 24 to 48 hours after their initial call. Same-week starts are often possible, especially for outpatient or virtual care.

What therapies do your treatment programs use?

Our programs use a blend of evidence-based therapies to create care plans tailored to each teen. Every teen receives all of the therapies below, and the amount of each is personalized based on their needs:

What support is available after treatment?

Support doesn’t end when a program is complete. We help families plan next steps before discharge and offer continued connection through our Next Step program, which provides ongoing support, resources, and opportunities to stay engaged after treatment.

Do you accept court-ordered treatment?

Yes, we do. If you’re reaching out for court-ordered treatment, please note this on the contact form so our team can review the details. Our Nebraska locations consider court-ordered cases on a case-by-case basis, and availability may vary by program and individual needs.
