Dual Diagnosis Treatment for Teens in Boise, ID
Care for teens who keep slipping back into substance use to cope with mental health symptoms.

When Progress Feels Hard to Hold Onto
Some teens want to stop using but keep returning to the same patterns when anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, or cravings become too much. They may make progress for a short time, then struggle again after conflict, social pressure, emotional pain, or a difficult week.
At Imagine, teens get support for the mental health symptoms and substance use patterns that make change hard to maintain. Care focuses on emotional regulation, cravings, triggers, accountability, and real-life coping skills so teens can build steadier progress over time.

How Care Helps Teens Move Forward
More Control Over Setbacks
Teens learn to recognize what puts their progress at risk and respond before a hard moment turns into a bigger problem.
Stronger Coping Without Substances
Care helps teens build safer ways to handle anxiety, sadness, anger, stress, cravings, and emotional overload.
Better Follow-Through
Teens work on accountability, motivation, and decision-making so healthier choices become easier to repeat over time.
Support That Carries Home
Family involvement helps caregivers create structure, improve communication, and support progress outside the program.
Care That Helps Change Last
Teens can feel stuck when they want things to be different but don’t know how to maintain progress outside of a structured setting. Mental health symptoms, cravings, peer pressure, family stress, and shame can all make it harder to keep making safer choices.
At Imagine, care gives teens a place to work through those barriers with support. They learn what gets in the way, what helps them stay grounded, and how to use coping skills in the moments where they usually struggle most.
With support for both mental health and substance use, teens can move from short-term progress to stronger, steadier change in daily life.
Our approach includes:
- Teen-centered care built around adolescent mental health, substance use, and development
- Individual therapy to address symptoms, cravings, triggers, motivation, and recovery goals
- Group sessions that build accountability, connection, and healthier peer support
- Family involvement to improve communication, rebuild trust, and support follow-through at home
- CBT and DBT-informed skills for managing emotions, urges, stress, and impulse control
- Relapse prevention planning to prepare for high-risk moments, pressure, and difficult emotions
- Holistic therapies that give teens healthier ways to process stress and express emotions
- Coordinated care between therapists, medical providers, and support staff
