Teen Substance Use Disorder Treatment in Boise, ID
Substance use care built around the real pressures, needs, and experiences of teens.

Substance Use Care Designed for Adolescents
Teen substance use is different from adult substance use because it often develops while a teen is still forming their coping skills, identity, boundaries, and sense of independence. Care should meet them where they are developmentally and situationally, with treatment that holds teens accountable without making them feel judged.
At Imagine, care is designed for teens from the start. The program creates space for honest conversations, age-appropriate therapy, peer connection, and family involvement so each teen can work toward healthier choices in a setting that fits their stage of life.

A Program Built Around the Teen Experience
Teens need substance use care that reflects their world. Friends, school, family expectations, identity, social media, emotional ups and downs, and future goals can all shape how substance use starts and continues.
At Imagine, care connects clinical support to those real-life pressures. Teens work on more than stopping use. They learn how to make safer choices, build confidence, handle difficult emotions, and create healthier patterns in the places they live, learn, and connect.
This approach gives teens care that feels relevant to their lives, rather than adapting an adult model.
Our approach includes:
- Age-appropriate clinical care built around the emotional and developmental needs of teens
- One-on-one therapy to address personal struggles, substance use patterns, and recovery goals
- Teen group sessions that encourage connection, accountability, and honest peer support
- Family therapy to address conflict, communication, trust, and expectations at home
- CBT and DBT-informed skills for managing thoughts, emotions, cravings, and pressure
- Holistic therapies that support emotional expression beyond talk therapy
- School and life coordination to keep care connected to daily responsibilities
- A coordinated care team that tracks progress and adjusts support as needs change
