Dual Diagnosis Treatment for Teens in Westminster, CO
Helping teens regain stability when mental health symptoms and substance use are both getting in the way.

Helping Teens Find a Steadier Path Forward
When a teen is struggling with both mental health symptoms and substance use, the hard days can start to blur together. Parents may see missed school, mood swings, secrecy, risky choices, broken trust, or a teen who wants things to change but can’t seem to stay consistent.
At Imagine, care gives teens the structure, therapy, and support to start rebuilding stability. We address emotional health, substance use, cravings, coping skills, communication, and follow-through together, so progress can show up where it matters: at home, at school, and in the moments that usually throw them off track.

- Cravings, urges, or repeated attempts to cut back
- Emotional outbursts, shutdown, panic, or irritability
- Skipping school, slipping grades, or loss of motivation

- Self-harm or suicidal thoughts with substance use concerns
- Family conflict tied to safety, rules, or communication

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Day treatment Monday–Friday, 9 AM to 3:30 PM, for teens who need a higher level of support. This 4-6 week program includes meals and school coordination.
Virtual Programs
Online treatment for teens who can’t attend in person. In some markets, programming may be offered in a hybrid format. Care stays structured, consistent, and led by our clinical team.
Dual Diagnosis Treatment Available
Many teens struggling with substance use are also dealing with underlying mental health challenges. Treating both at the same time helps reduce relapse risk and supports more stable progress.
How Substance Abuse Treatment Helps Teens Regain Stability
Better Control in Difficult Moments
Teens learn how to slow down, manage urges, and respond to stress without turning to substances or unsafe choices.
More Consistent Follow-Through
Care supports the skills teens need to stay engaged with school, responsibilities, relationships, and recovery goals.
Healthier Emotional Regulation
Teens build tools for anxiety, anger, sadness, shame, cravings, and overwhelm so their emotions don’t control every decision.
Stronger Support at Home
Family involvement helps caregivers set clearer expectations, improve communication, and support progress between sessions.

Care That Supports Real Change in Daily Life
Teens need structure, repetition, and support as they practice new skills in the situations where they usually struggle. That might mean handling a craving after school, staying calm during conflict, being honest after a setback, or choosing a safer response when emotions feel intense.
At Imagine, care is built to connect treatment with real life. Teens work on mental health symptoms and substance use at the same time while building the coping skills, accountability, and support systems they need to keep moving forward.
